“Preventing homelessness through short term loans & grants

The Fraser Valley Rent Assistance Project provides one time emergency loans for families and individuals who are at risk of losing their homes. Loans are provided to pay for security deposits, utility deposits and arrears and rent. Participants also have the opportunity to build knowledge and skills in effective money management.

The objectives of the Fraser Valley Rent Assistance Project are to:

Secure stable housing or prevent eviction;
Avoid utility disconnection or re-connect utilities;
Build knowledge and skills in effective money management.

Loans are provided to pay for security deposits, utility deposits, utility arrears, and rental arrears. Maximum loan repayment period is 24 months..”
